The March meetup was small, as the COVID-19 situation was starting to unfold in Iowa. We decided to skip the presentation and just work on project activities which was good. So in April, along with making the move to a virtual meetup, we will complete the final portion of the presentation on the WordPress Dashboard and walk through the Settings menu.

How to do virtual? That's a great question. We want to make the experience as useful and dynamic as possible. So, we will use Zoom as our online meeting platform, conducting our presentation and give folks a chance to talk about how life is going indoors, then we will leverage the feature of Zoom that allows us to create breakout rooms so that we can have folks get together 1-on-1 (or 2-on-1, or whatever works) to work on issues just like we do in person.

We strong suggest you install the Zoom app on your device (whether a mobile device or laptop/desktop computer) and test it out ahead of time so you are sure the audio and video components are working.

This will be new territory for us, but I expect that with all the really flexible people we have this will be a productive time.

PS: We are always interested in new presenters... message Cecille or Art if you have a topic you'd like to share!

9:00-9:45 Introductions, sharing challenges and solutions that are helping us get through the COVIV-19 situation. If you want to break up into separate rooms to talk to someone, that's totally cool... or use the Zoom chat function to have private conversations.
9:45-10:00 Introductions, announcements, any business to discuss with the group.
10:00-10:30 Presentation – The WordPress Dashboard: What is All This Stuff? (Part 3) (Art Smith)
10:30-12:00 Q&A, hands on problem solving with problems YOU bring to the Meetup! We'll break up into separate Zoom rooms to help each other.
